December Featured Charity: Wilco Brown Santa
Spreading Joy, Hope & Holiday Magic Across Williamson County

At ElitePro Home Team, we love giving back to the community that has given us so much over the years. Highlighting a local nonprofit each month is one of our favorite ways to support, uplift, and shine a light on the incredible people doing real good right here at home. And for December, we couldn’t think of a better organization to celebrate than Wilco Brown Santa.

Every year, Brown Santa brings holiday joy, dignity, and hope to families across Williamson County — and their impact during the season is nothing short of magical. If you’ve never heard of them (or only know them from those big toy barrels around town), this is your chance to meet the team behind the mission.

Who Is Wilco Brown Santa?
Wilco Brown Santa is a nonprofit program that partners with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office to support families in need during the holidays—especially children and senior citizens. Their goal is simple but incredibly powerful:

Make sure every child and every senior in Williamson County has a joyful holiday season—no matter what challenges they’re facing.

This isn’t a “just toys” program. It’s a full-on holiday support system offering gifts, books, food, and essentials to families who otherwise might go without.

Their Mission
You know how the holidays are supposed to be all warmth, joy, and togetherness? Brown Santa makes that happen for hundreds of local families who are struggling.

Their mission is to:

  • Provide toys, books, and blankets for children
    • Deliver food boxes to families who need them
    • Support senior citizens who are alone or underserved
    • Spread safety, compassion, and connection across the community

It’s grassroots, it’s local, and it’s absolutely fueled by community heart.

How Brown Santa Got Started
The program began back in the early 80s as a small initiative inside the Sheriff’s Office—just a few deputies collecting toys to get to families they knew were struggling during the holidays.

Fast forward: Williamson County has exploded in growth, and so has the need. But Brown Santa has kept its same core spirit—neighbors helping neighbors, powered by volunteers, donations, and the Sheriff’s Office coordinating logistics.

This is one of those programs that grew because the community simply refused to let any family get left behind.

What They Do (And Why It Matters)
Brown Santa supports families in ways that meet real needs, not just “holiday wish list” fluff.

Here’s what makes them special:

Toys for kids who might not have anything under the tree.
Not just new toys—they make sure each child gets multiple items so they feel seen and celebrated.

Books to promote literacy and lifelong learning.
Every child gets a book with their gifts, because reading is one of the greatest gifts we can give our kids.

Blankets for warmth and comfort.
This is a big one—they always include at least one blanket to help families stay warm through winter.

Food support for families in need.
Holiday meals shouldn’t be a luxury. Brown Santa assembles food boxes to help families enjoy the season without worrying about the basics.

Senior citizen care packages.
Seniors are often overlooked this time of year, and the Brown Santa team makes sure they’re not forgotten.

Fully volunteer-run warehouse operations.
Volunteers sort donations, organize gifts, prepare boxes, and help with distribution. It’s organized, efficient, and honestly… a little magical to watch.

Why We Chose Wilco Brown Santa This Month
This time of year, it’s easy to get caught up in the holiday hustle. But Wilco Brown Santa brings us back to what matters: community showing up for community.

Their work directly impacts the families we live beside, work with, and see at the grocery store.
And that is exactly the kind of heart-centered service we want to champion.
