Central Texas Table of Grace is an emergency shelter for foster kids from ages 6-17. Stacy Johnson is the CEO, and as a former foster child herself, she knows all too well the struggles these children face daily. Recently, she also opened Grace 365, which supports kids 18+ who age out of the foster care system and find themselves with no family or resources to navigate life. Stacy was actually just featured on CBS Austin as the Community Partner Program of the month. Watch the interview here

Stacy is one of the most genuine, inspiring, kind human beings I have ever met in my life. She gets emotional every time she gets the opportunity to talk about her program!

Take Me Home - Advocates for Transport:   “Our mission is to eliminate euthanasia due to lack of space by raising funds to transport dogs from over-crowded shelters to no-kill shelters that have adoption wait lists. Pulling dogs from local rural shelters and arranging for their transport is the only way some rural shelters can stay ahead of the number of dogs that come in daily. It gives the dogs a second chance at life and provides loving families with a wonderful companion. There are places in the United States that have a shortage of adoptable dogs so we are filling two needs by easing overcrowding in Southern shelters and furnishing great dogs to adoptive families.”

They have their biggest fundraiser early in the year that includes musical groups, great food, a live action and tons of fun at a local restaurant in Austin. I typically also do a donation drive once a year to get my clients involved by collecting much needed items for the shelter in Lockhart.
