Bluegrass in Leander

Mark your calendar: the 17th Annual Honda Leander Bluegrass Festival is on its way. Sponsored by the city's Honda dealership, this event has brought fans of this musical genre together for nearly 20 years. Some of our real estate agents have gathered information about this year's festival, including which bands will be featured live on stage. You'll find all the details below.

About the Festival

This year's Honda Leander Bluegrass Festival is set for October 7th and 8th from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. You'll find it at the Mason Homestead field at 1001 S Baghdad Road in Leander, Texas, just south of the Leander Public Library. Attendees can park at the library or in any of the public parking lots in the area near our Leander homes for sale.

Admission to the main event is free, and Fun Zone wristbands can be purchased at the area's entrance for $15. Each wristband gets a child unlimited access to the Fun Zone amenities during one day of the event.

There is very little seating available, but attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs and blankets to set up on the grass if they want to make themselves more comfortable. Come early if you want a spot close to the stage – these areas tend to fill up fast. Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on leashes during the entire event.

Two Nights of Memorable Music

The Honda Leander Bluegrass Festival celebrates the high-spirited, quick-stepping tunes that define the genre. The four performances slated for 2022 will surely have you tapping your toes all night long.

Friday's event will kick off with a performance by Randy Collier and Grassland at 6:15 PM, followed by the Lost Pines at 8:00 PM. On Saturday, the Hot Pickin' 57s will take the stage at 6:15 PM, followed by the Downtown String Band at 8:00 PM.

Food, Shopping, and Fun

The music isn't the only reason to visit this popular Leander festival. The event will also be packed with food vendors where you can pick up some snacks or dinner. You'll be able to choose from festival classics like hot dogs and French fries, BBQ, and sweet treats like fried candy bars and ice cream cones. You can also buy various hot and cold drinks, including craft beer from some of the best brewers in the area.

You may also spot some crafts vendors on the premises during festival hours. While not as common as food vendors, there are usually at least a handful of local craftspeople selling their wares at a booth during this yearly event. Many of them carry bluegrass-themed trinkets to help festival-goers commemorate the occasion. Take a look and see what one-of-a-kind items are available this year.

Want to bring your kids along? With the Fun Zone up and running, they won't need to be bluegrass fans to have a good time. This kids' area features slides, a bouncy castle, and many other pieces of equipment your kids can use to have a blast.
