As we transition from the fresh blossoms of spring to the sunny skies of summer, it's the perfect time to think about making your home the hottest property on the block! Here's how you can enhance your curb appeal and outdoor spaces to charm those summer buyers.

1. First Impressions Count: Boost Your Curb Appeal

The front of your home is the first thing potential buyers will see, so let's make it love at first sight!

  • Fresh Coat of Paint: Sometimes, all you need is a fresh coat of paint on your front door, shutters, or trim to make your home pop from the street.
  • Landscaping Matters: Trim those bushes, mow the lawn, refresh your mulch and consider planting colorful flowers that bloom throughout the summer. A well-manicured garden suggests a well-maintained home.

Hello fellow green thumbs! May is here - the buds are beginning to bloom and the sun is shining a little brighter, it's time to roll up our sleeves and dive into the joy of spring gardening. And where better to celebrate this occasion than in the heart of Central Texas, where our landscapes burst with color and vitality? Welcome to the vibrant city of Georgetown, Texas, where every spring, the streets burst into a riot of color and festivity with the annual Red Poppy Festival. This beloved event, steeped in local history and charm, celebrates the beauty of the iconic red poppy flower while bringing together residents and visitors alike for a weekend of fun, music, and community spirit. This year is the 25th annual Red Poppy Festival so the city of Georgetown is gearing up for three days full of red poppy fun!

The Origin Story

During World War I, seeds from poppies in Europe found their way to Georgetown, Texas, thanks to Henry Purl Compton, affectionately known as "Okra," a member of the American Expeditionary Forces. He sent them to his mother, who planted them at her home on 507 East 7th Street. From there, the poppies spread naturally...

Ah, spring! The season where flowers bloom, birds sing, and your home screams for a little (or a lot of) TLC after a long winter nap. It's the perfect time to dust off those gardening gloves, grab a ladder, and show your home some love. Here are some spring home maintenance tips that will not only keep your house in tip-top shape but also make your neighbors wonder if you've got a secret home-care fairy.

Leaves, twigs, and what might suspiciously look like a neighbor's missing garden gnome can all clog up your gutters, leading to water damage. Clean those gutters out, and while you're at it, make sure downspouts are directing water away from your foundation. It's a dirty job, but think of the calories you'll burn!

2. Roof Inspection: No Leaks Allowed

Next up, the roof. Winter can be tough on roofs,...
