Central Texas Dogs

Sometimes your dog has some extra energy to burn! When our real estate agents want to give their pets some quality outdoor time, they head for these great Central Texas dog parks near Georgetown homes for sale.

  • Dog House Drinkery - 3800 County Rd., Leander, TX 78641
Dog House Drinkery is just as entertaining for humans as it is for their pets. The main off-leash area is a half-acre spot with an adjoining indoor bar. Visitors can watch TV, play games, and enjoy adult beverages while their dogs socialize outdoors. A separate adjoining area is reserved for dogs under 30 pounds. Finally, a spacious 10,000-square-foot off-leash area is used for special events and activities such as birthday parties and adoptions. Membership is $8 per day or $150 per year, but there are multiple leashed areas that can be used for no charge. Hours are 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, noon - 10 p.m. Saturday, and noon - 9 p.m. Sunday.

  • Lake Creek Park - 800 Deerfoot Dr., Round Rock, TX 78664
There's fun for the whole family at Lake Creek Park, a spacious facility of nearly 23 acres. Fido can romp to his heart's content in the Dog Depot, Lake Creek Park's off-leash area. Nearly every popular sport is represented with courts and fields for baseball, soccer, football, volleyball, and basketball. Kids love the expansive playground with unique attractions such as a climbing spider web and a standing see-saw. Hours are 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. daily except October through March when the park closes at 6 p.m.

  • Shady Acres Pet Ranch - 3901 Sam Bass Rd., Round Rock, TX 78681
Your precious pooch will have such a good time at Shady Acres Pet Ranch that he may not want to come home. Unlike many doggy daycare facilities, Shady Acres includes three sprawling acres protected by the shade of century-old oak trees. Once Fido has burned off all his energy, he can cool off with a dip in the pool and settle in for a well-earned nap. Prices start at $30 per day, and overnight boarding is available. Hours are 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday.

  • Brushy Creek Dog Park - 200 County Rd. 197, Hutto, TX 78364 When a group of local residents saw the need for a convenient dog park, they joined forces with Starmark Animal Behavior Center and created a non-profit to raise funds. The result is Brushy Creek Dog Park, which is still fully supported by donations. The facility is located on private property, but it's free to use. Simply obtain the required parking permit at the Behavior Center office. Park hours are daylight to dark daily, while the splash pad is open from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m.

  • Bark Park - 151 Holly St., Georgetown, TX 78626
Just across from the McMaster Athletic Complex sits Bark Park, the first public off-leash dog park to open in Georgetown. The six-acre area has separate spaces for small and large dogs, with pecan trees providing some welcome shade. Take Fido through the agility course, or let him frolic while you relax on one of the benches. Drinking fountains for dogs and people, as well as waste bags, are available onsite. Bark Park is open seven days a week from 5 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Central Texas is full of attractions for the two- and four-legged members of your family. Have questions about buying or selling a home? Contact us at RE/MAX Capital City.
