Let's be real for a moment: a house is more than just bricks and mortar—it's the epicenter of holiday spirit and warmth. And with Thanksgiving around the corner, we're going full Texas-style on the festivities (and no, I won't suggest a cowboy hat for your turkey, tempting as it may be).

  1. The Texan Twist on the Classic Front Porch

Every home in Williamson and Travis County, whether a quaint bungalow or a majestic mansion, deserves a touch of holiday charm. Picture autumn wreaths with shades of amber and rustic browns. Decorate your front porch with some hay bales, a few pumpkins, scatter some mums or if you're feeling extra playful, a pair of old cowboy boots turned into vases filled with autumn foliage.

  1. Dining Delight

The dining table isn't just for feasting—it's for marveling at your decorating prowess! Think of pumpkins and gourds of varying sizes, wooden candles holders [bonus points if the candles are fall scented], paired with some small rustic lanterns, pinecones or an autumn bouquet. The more warm glows and rich colors, the better

  1. Cozy, Cozy Everywhere

Create cozy vibes in your living room. Place plush throws, soft cushions in autumnal tones, and maybe even a vase with some dried flowers. It's the perfect spot to sip on some hot cocoa (or wine for the adults) and snuggle up with your family after a delicious meal.

  1. The Great Outdoors

Our Texan winters are like an extension of autumn, so why not move the party outdoors? Light up that fire pit, set up a s'mores station, and drape some autumn themed blankets over your patio chairs. Set up a few lanterns and let the stories flow under the starry Texas sky.

  1. Don't Forget the Humor

Turkey-shaped salt and pepper shakers? A doormat that says "Come in and stuff yourself"? Yes, please! Injecting some humor into your decor keeps things light and fun.

Tying it All Together (Or Should I Say, Tying the Apron Strings?)

When you're decorating for the holidays, remember the essence of Thanksgiving: gratitude and warmth. Whether you're preparing for family, friends, or just looking to cozy up your space, let the festive spirit shine through.

And, of course, if you ever think of making a home-related move during this season (or any season), don't hesitate to give me a shout. 17 years in the biz means I've got a tip or two up my sleeve.

Stay cozy, and happy decorating, y'all!
